Stonehill goes 4-0 over the weekend at West Chester University
WEST CHESTER, Pa. (September 10, 2011) – The Stonehill College women's volleyball team took a pair of non-conference matches on day two of the West Chester University RAM Fest at Hollinger Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon. The Skyhawks defeated Philadelphia University, 3-0, by scores of 25-12, 25-15, 26-24 and completed the day two sweep with a 3-1 victory over LIU-C.W. Post by scores of 16-25, 25-21, 25-10 and 25-12.
In the two day event, Stonehill went a perfect 4-0 overall picking up victories against Lincoln (Pa.) and Chestnut Hill yesterday. On the weekend, the Skyhawks dropped just one set versus all four teams at the West Chester University RAM Fest.

Sophomore outside hitter Sydney Maxey (Hutto, Texas/Hutto) tied for the match-high in kills with 12 and turned in one service ace and nine digs to lead Stonehill offensively. Freshman setter Emily Iverson (Elmhurst, Ill./York) dished out 35 assists and filled out the rest of the stat sheet with five digs, two kills and four service aces.

The Skyhawks used a solid defensive effort to take their fourth match of the tournament combining for eight block solos, 12 block assists and 48 digs on the afternoon.
Maxey led all players with 11 kills, notched a team-high 13 digs and added two service aces, one block solo and one block assist.
Iverson facilitated the offense with 33 assists, one kill, one service ace, nine digs and one block solo while Kirsten Arvidson (Andover, Mass./Andover) contributed nine kills, three block solos, two block assists and one dig.
Huselton compiled seven kills, eight digs, one block solo and one block assist while Kelly turned in one assist, two service aces and 10 digs.
Stonehill (7-1, 0-0 NE-10) hosts Saint Anselm in Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) action on Tuesday, September 13 at 7 p.m.
