WALTHAM, Mass. (October 5, 2010) – Stonehill College jumped ahead early and finished off a 5-1 win over host Bentley University in a Northeast-10 women’s soccer matchup Tuesday.

Senior Caitlin McEvily (New Rochelle, N.Y./The Ursuline School) added her third goal of the year for the Skyhawks and recorded an assist.
Freshman goalkeeper Amy Wheaton (Dartmouth, Mass./Dartmouth) made three saves for the victory in her first collegiate start.
McEvily kicked off the Stonehill offensive attack with a goal in just the second minute, set up by sophomore Elizabeth Belanger (Hooksett, N.H./Manchester Central). Pacapelli followed with a second score before the ten-minute mark, taking a pass from St. Martin outside the top of the box and drilling home her first career goal from 20 yards.
St. Martin put away two of her own in the second half, netting a short-range volley off a cross from McEvily in the 52nd minute, and beating the Bentley back line for an unassisted tally in the 70th minute.
