Skyhawks Fifth At Trinity Invitational

Manchester, Conn. - Running without some of the elite runners in the Northeast, the Stonehill finished fifth at the season-opening Trinity Invitational at Wickham Park on Saturday afternoon.

Junior Zach Lankow (Saugus, Mass.) was the lone Skyhawk finisher in the top 10, completing the 5K race in 16:46 but, freshman Corey Donahoe (Billerica, Mass.) and junior Dan Pilz (Newington, Conn.) scored 13th and 14th place finishes with times of 16:50 and 16:55 respectively.

Trinity's Michael Bourstein, running on his home course, took home the individual title with a time of 16:21, barely edging out his teammate Hunter Norte at 16:22.

UMass-Lowell earned the team title with all five of their scoring runners finishing right behind one another in eighth to twelfth places.

Nick Campbell (Mansfield, Mass.) (24) and Jason Lynch (Lynbrook, N.Y.) (28) rounded out the Stonehill scoring with times of 17:11 and 17:16.

Expect to see key performers Kevin Gill (Brockton, Mass.), Keith Gill (Brockton, Mass.), Matt Meagher (Mansfield, Mass.) and Josh Andrews (Chelmsford, Mass.) in next week's Tufts Invite in Grafton, Mass.
