EASTON, Mass.-- Junior Joseph Sousa (Shelton, Conn.) netted a pair of goals to lead Stonehill to a 4-0 Northeast-10 Conference menís soccer victory over Assumption Saturday afternoon at Skyhawk Field.

Senior Jonathan Casey (Lynn, Mass.) gave the host Skyhawks (0-8, 0-6 Northeast-10) the only goal they would need in the 18th minute of play, and Stonehill added three insurance tallies in the final 8:30 of action, as freshman Daniel Holley (Manorville, N.Y.) extended the hostsí advantage to 2-0 in the 81st minute before Sousa struck in the 86th and 89th minutes, respectively, to close out the scoring.

Seniors Mark Bombardier (Hadley, Mass.) and Kevin Flaherty (Duxbury, Mass.) each collected two assists in the win for Stonehill, which also received a single helper off the foot of junior Derek Hebert (Rockland, Mass.). Senior Chad Etting (Plymouth, Conn.) picked up his second shutout win of the season in goal for the Skyhawks with a nine-save effort, while junior Brett Miller (Franklin, Mass.) made four stops in net for the visiting Greyhounds (0-8, 0-6 Northeast-10) as Assumption outshot Stonehill by a 16-13 margin for the match.

Stonehill travels to Waterbury, Conn. on Tuesday afternoon to take on Post in a non-league match that begins at 3:30 p.m., while Assumption hosts Merrimack in a Northeast-10 match on Wednesday afternoon in Worcester, Mass. that begins at 4:00 p.m.
