EASTON, Mass. – The Stonehill men's soccer team dropped a tough contest to No. 17 Bryant, 3-0, under the lights of W.B. Mason Stadium on Saturday evening.
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS
- Sophomore Cade Likhite registered five saves in net for the Skyhawks.
- Senior Owen Burke nearly scored the equalizer in the 38th minute with his lone shot on goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Skyhawks hung tight with the Bulldogs in the opening minutes of the contest. It was in the 18
th minute with Bryant scored first on an own goal. But Stonehill was resilient. In the 38
th minute, the Skyhawks looked poised to even up the contest as senior
Owen Burke fired a shot towards the net, but Bryant goalkeeper Ramon Camejo came up with the save.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Cade Likhite outstanding net, making his first start of the season. He kept the contest close for the majority of the contest. When the Bulldogs looked to add an insurance goal in the 61
st minute, Likhite was there to come up with the stop.
However, the Bulldogs added an insurance goal in the 66
th minute before scoring his third in the 77
th minute to earn their seventh victory of the season.
