A pair of eight point performances from
sophomore Michelle Kelly
(Mendham, N.J.) and freshman Liza
Gross (Loudonville, N.Y.) helped third-ranked Stonehill clinch
its ninth straight Northeast-10 Conference regular season title as Head
Coach Michael Daly's Skyhawks
wrapped up their seventh consecutive undefeated league regular season
run with a 14-11 victory over rival Bentley Monday afternoon at W.B.
Mason Stadium. Junior All-America Kristin Darrell (West Islip, N.Y.)
added a hat trick and a pair of assists in Stonehill's 68th straight
Northeast-10 triumph, while freshman Jackie
Ladino (North Dartmouth, Mass.) added a pair of tallies for the
Skyhawks, who also received an assist off the stick of sophomore Michelle Salmon (East Islip,
N.Y.). Junior Amanda McGeachey
(Saco, Maine) made eight saves to pick up her 16th win of the season in
goal for Stonehill, which will take a 16-1 overall mark into this
weekend's Northeast-10 Conference tournament that begins on Saturday
afternoon when the top-seeded Skyhawks will face the winner of the
quarterfinal round contest between fourth-seeded Bryant and
fifth-seeded Merrimack in the first semi-final match of the 2007
championships at W.B. Mason Stadium beginning at 1:00 p.m. EDT.

Senior Adam Pardo's (Hanover, Mass.) third
hit of the day, a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the eighth,
lifted Stonehill to a 1-0 Northeast-10 Conference victory and a sweep
of a three-game league weekend of Saint Anselm Sunday afternoon at
Gorman Field. Senior Chris
Herrmann (Chelmsford, Mass.) was simply brilliant on the mound
for Head Coach Patrick Boen's
Skyhawks, as he went the distance in scattering six hits and striking
out nine to pick up the shutout triumph for Stonehill, which received
four hits from Pardo and solid pitching performances from junior Mat Lindenmayer (Penfield, N.Y.) and
senior Matt Vaughn (Bow, N.H.)
in sweeping a twinbill from the aforementioned Hawks by scores of 9-2
in the opener and 7-4 in the nightcap Saturday afternoon in Manchester,
N.H. Stonehill, which stands at 18-22-1 overall and 10-16-1 in
Northeast-10 play, hosts Southern New Hampshire in a league match-up on
Wednesday afternoon at Gorman Field beginning at 3:30 p.m. EDT.
