Karen Boen and the Skyhawks won their seventh regional title in the last eight years last week. |
New Orleans, La. - After guiding the women's cross country program to NCAA Division II Northeast Regional Championships, Skyhawks mentor Karen Boen was named Women's Northeast Regional Coach of the Year it was announced earlier this week by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Skyhawks won the Northeast Region championship for the seventh time in the last eight years at Van Cortland Park in New York last week and also captured the Northeast-10 Conference title.
In addition to Boen's honor, four Stonehill runners received All-Northeast Region honors for finishing in the top 15 at the regional event.
