December 29, 1994 - The women's basketball team improved to 8-0 after defeating Mansfield University and Edinboro University in the Stonehill Christmas Tournament.  Kim Trudel was named the Tournament's Most Valuable Player.


Skyhawks 16th at New England Championships

Dorchester, Mass. - Kristina Coriaty (Brockton, Mass.) was the first Stonehill runner to cross the finish line, helping the Skyhawks secure a 16th place finish at the 94th running of the New England Cross Country Championships at Franklin Park on Saturday afternoon.

Coriaty finished in 42nd place at 19:18, while the event winner, Andrea Walkonen of Boston University wrapped up the course in 17:36.

Freshman Kelly O'Toole (Nashua, N.H.) was the Skyhawks second finisher, recording a 70th place finish with a time of 19:40.

Quinnipiac, whose top finisher, Kristen Stevens finished in third place, took home the team title.

Lesley Clunie (Newburyport, Mass.) completed the course in 19:58, good for 98th place, while sophomore Andrea Topalis (Simsbury, Conn.) and classmate Meagan Murphy (North Conway, N.H.) round out the scoring five for the Skyhawks.
