Stonehill 22nd At NCAA’s
Joplin, Mo. - Stonehill wrapped up its 2007 season with a
22nd place finish at the 2007 NCAA Division II Cross Country
Championships on Saturday morning on the campus of Missouri
Southern State University.
Adams State, which placed four runners in the top 20 and all five
scoring runners in the top 25, easily outdistanced Seattle Pacific
for the team title. Seattle Pacific’s Jessica Pixler was
crowned the individual champion.
Freshman Kelly O’Toole (Nashua, N.H.) was
the Skyhawks top finisher in 76th place at 22:51.2 on the 6K
course.
Stonehill’s 519 points were right on the heels of
UMass-Lowell who collected 514 points and a 21st place finish.
Lesley Clunie (Newburyport, Mass.) was the
Skyhawks’ second runner to cross the finish line with an 87th
place completion with a time of 23:06.2, while Kristina
Coriaty’s (Brockton, Mass.) time of 23:21.5, gave
her a 105th place finish.
Jenny Gardynski (Everett, Mass.) finished with a 116th
place finish with a time of 23:40.6, while Jackie
Oates (South Easton, Mass.) was the final Stonehill scorer
with a time of 24:20.2.
