November 18, 2006 - Keith Gill, a junior on the Cross-Country team, was named the fourth All-America performer in school history.  With the honor Gill also became the first two-time All-America in Skyhawk, as he earned outdoor track All-America accolades this past spring in the 1500 Meter Run at the NCAA Championships held in Emporia, Kan.

HANOVER, N.H.-- Both Stonehill cross country teams began their respective 2005 seasons on Saturday afternoon by competing in the Division I laden Dartmouth Invitational, as the Skyhawk men placed seventh and the Stonehill women placed eighth among the nine teams competing.

Sophomore Keith Gill (Brockton, Mass.) was the top finisher on the men?s side for Stonehill, as he placed 51st overall with a time of 27:27.70 over the 8K layout. Sophomores Dickie Gerry (Bow, N.H.) and David Metzger (Ellington, Conn.), along with senior T.J. Smith (East Bridgewater, Mass.) and junior Tim Catoggio (Bradford, Mass.), finished eight behind Gill in 56th, 57th, 58th and 59th place, respectively, for the Skyhawks, who bested rival Bentley by 14 points in the team scoring. Host Dartmouth won the team title by placing five of the top six runners in the event, while Brown finished second.

On the women?s side, senior Erin Smith (Brockton, Mass.) led the way with a 33rd place individual finish for Stonehill with a time of 21:31.90, as the Skyhawks finished 52 points ahead of rival Bentley in the team standings. Senior Kaitlin Buckley (North Kingstown, R.I.) was next in 43rd place with a time of 21:32.80, while juniors Kelly Chaisson (Walpole, Mass.) and Dana DeIngenis (Cranston, R.I.), along with freshman Kasey Black (Hanson, Mass.), placed 52nd, 56th and 67th, respectively for Stonehill. Dartmouth also won the women?s race with the top three individuals, while Boston College and Brown placed second and third, respectively, in the event.

Both Stonehill squads return to action next Saturday morning by heading to North Dartmouth, Mass. to compete in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, with the women?s race beginning at 11:15 a.m. followed by the men?s race at Noon.
