May 24, 2003 - Three players from the Stonehill's 2003 Division II NCAA Championship team received Warrior/Lacrosse All-America accolades.  Collette Carpenter, who finished with 31 goals and 29 assists, earned Midfielder of the Year.  Carissa Medeiros claimed Goaltender of the Year for finishing with 133 goals allowed (6.17 GAA).  After scoring nine goals in the NCAA Championship tournament, freshman Erin Acone took Rookie of the Year honors.

Skyhawks Fall In Home Opener To Warriors, 3-0

Easton, Mass. - Merrimack freshman Molly Cindric had 20 kills and six assists, leading the Warriors past Stonehill, 3-0 in Northeast-10 volleyball action on Tuesday night at Merkert Gymnasium.

The Skyhawks were led by Junior Katherine Masson (Acushnet, Mass.) who posted 10 kills and freshman setter Andrea Wirth (Mesa, Ariz.) who totaled 25 assists and eight digs.

Cindric did her damage on .486 hitting, as the Warriors took games 30-28, 30-20 and 30-24.

Junior Heidi Woerner (North Kingstown, R.I.) chipped in with six kills and four solo blocks for Stonehill.

Samantha Marcin (Somers, N.Y.) added 19 digs for Stonehill, who fell to 0-8 overall and 0-2 in the Northeast-10. The Skyhawks will look for their first win of the season when they step out of Conference for a visit to Molloy on Saturday at 11 a.m.
