North Easton, Mass. - Behind 12 kills from reigning Northeast-10 player of the week, Christina Sadowski, Bentley defeated host Stonehill, 3-0, in the Skyhawks final match of their much-improved 2007 season.
Sadowski did her damage on .391 hitting and got help from Kristine Mickelson who added 11 kills of her own.
The Skyhawks came out ready for the challenge, staying close to the Falcons, who entered the contest with an 11-1 conference record. Game one was anyone's to have, with Bentley holding a 28-27 edge before they ran off the final two points to collect the win.
The Falcons, behind .457 hitting, jumped out to a 21-8 lead in game two before earning the 30-11 win.
Game three was tied on several occasions, including 9-9, before Bentley took over, upping the lead to 14-11 and 18-11 and eventually a 30-20 win.
Freshmen Laura Noonan (Hampstead, N.H.) and Erin Johnson (Centerville, Mass.) led the Skyhawks with seven kills apiece, while classmate Michelle Jaques (Medfield, Mass.) added 13 digs.
Bentley, now 20-8 overall, received a game-high 28 digs from Cassie Craft and 46 assists and 13 digs from setter Tori Piskulick.
Stonehill season ends at 10-20 overall and 5-9 in Northeast-10 action, a full five game improvement from a season ago.
