November 19, 2005 - Sophomore David Metzger became Stonehill's third All-America performer.  At the NCAA National Championships Metzger completed a 10K in 32:31.9 to finish 24th individually, the highest ever in the College's history.

Senior co-captain Jen Gardynski’s (Everett, Mass.) magical Stonehill career came to an end on Thursday evening with a 16th-place finish in the preliminary heat of the 3000 meter steeplechase at the 2009 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships held on the campus of Angelo State University. Gardynski finished with a time of 11:25.68, four spots out of advancing to the national finals on Saturday evening. The senior co-captain will be making her first trip to the track and field national championships following her record breaking performance in the 3000 meter steeplechase at the New England Championships on Saturday, May 2.

Senior Jenny Gardynski (Everett, Mass.) will head to the NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships held May 21-23 on the campus of Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. The senior co-captain will be making her first trip to the track and field national championships following her record breaking performance in the 3000 meter steeplechase at the New England Championships on Saturday, May 2. Gardynski broke her own school record by over 20 seconds with a time of 10:53.24, automatically qualifying her for nationals in the process. At nationals, she will be seeded 17th in the event out of 19 participants.

Coming into the 3000 meter steeplechase, senior captain Jenny Gardynski (Everett, Mass.) was ranked 15th in the event. The senior ended up dropping 30 seconds and shattering her own school record in the process at the New England Championships on Saturday in a field filled with Division I, II and III teams. Gardynski finished fifth in the event and automatically qualified for Nationals with her time of 10:53.24, earning All-New England honors in the process. Also performing well for theSkyhawks on Saturday was the 4x800 relay team which took eighth in the event. The relay, made up of freshman Jill Alves (Whitman, Mass.), sophomores Lindsey Booth (Franklin, Mass.) and Hilary Curtis (Scarborough, Maine) and senior captain KristinaCoriaty (Brockton, Mass.) finished in time of 9:26.14.
