Entering his sixth season at Stonehill, Richard Hart brings nearly 30 years of coaching experience to Easton.

During Hart's first five years, the men's and women's cross country squads have won a combined seven Northeast-10 Conference championships and six NCAA Northeast Regional titles, finishing no lower than second at either meet, and have qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships every year.

Prior to Stonehill, Hart served as an assistant track and field coach at Northeastern University from 1999-2004.

Hart, who also serves as a track & field official, has directed several major events, including assisting with the 2006 NCAA Division II Championships and the first-ever track and field event hosted by Stonehill College in April of 2008.

In addition to his coaching experience, Hart also taught high school English, history and theology at Boston-area schools from 1981-2007.

A 1981 graduate of the University of Connecticut, he and his wife Rose reside in Norwood with their two children.
