April 28, 1984 - Sophomore Dave Barry pitched an 11-inning complete game for the Baseball team to defeat Assumption College, 2-1.  Barry, a Brockton native, allowed only four hits and struck out seven.

Boston, Mass. - The Skyhawks 4x800 relay squad broke the school record and took a 10th place finish in the event at the New England Championships on Saturday. 

The relay team of Lindsey Pinkham (Skowhegan, Maine), Lindsey Booth (Franklin, Mass.), Kristina Coriaty (Brockton, Mass.) and Susan O'Connell (East Greenwich, R.I.) broke the school of 9:33.40 set at last year's NE-10's by more than four seconds with their time of 9:29.14 on Saturday.  

The relay's tenth place finish was the highest of the day for Stonehill, who got a 12th place finish in the 500 from Christine Carrier (Manchester, N.H.) in 1:18.28 and a 22nd finish from Angela Miller (Brockton, Mass.) in the 200 meter dash.
