December 18, 1994 - Stonehill Men's Basketball defeated the UMass-Lowell River Hawks, 81-79, after a steal by Jamal Gomes followed by a desperation lay-up from Rajohn Odum with four seconds remaining.  Chris Butler scored 25 points to crack the 1,000 point barrier for his career.  Butler was the 23rd 1,000 point scorer in the College's history.

Boston, Mass. - The Skyhawks 4x800 relay squad broke the school record and took a 10th place finish in the event at the New England Championships on Saturday. 

The relay team of Lindsey Pinkham (Skowhegan, Maine), Lindsey Booth (Franklin, Mass.), Kristina Coriaty (Brockton, Mass.) and Susan O'Connell (East Greenwich, R.I.) broke the school of 9:33.40 set at last year's NE-10's by more than four seconds with their time of 9:29.14 on Saturday.  

The relay's tenth place finish was the highest of the day for Stonehill, who got a 12th place finish in the 500 from Christine Carrier (Manchester, N.H.) in 1:18.28 and a 22nd finish from Angela Miller (Brockton, Mass.) in the 200 meter dash.
