Medford, Mass. –  A team effort from the Women’s Track team brought a new school record back to Easton after Saturday’s meet, the Tufts Stampede, held in Medford, Mass.  A team made up of Angela Miller (Brockton, Mass./Brockton), Ashley George (Seekonk, Mass./Seekonk), Katrina Harkins (Derry, N.H./Central Catholic) and Amanda Carnevale (Stony Point, N.Y./North Rockland) brought home third place honors to headline another weekend for the women.

The women’s record-breaking time of 1:51.35 defeated a 1:52.70 mark set by Miller, George, Carnevale and teammate Megan Breault (Dayville, Conn./Killingly) set earlier at Tufts on February 2nd.

In addition to her record setting day, Harkins, a sophomore, finished the 200 Meter Dash in 28.88.  Her time ranked 12th overall.  Junior Ashley Lane (Needham, Mass./Needham) provided a seventh place finish for the Skyhawks in the 400 Meter Dash, with a time of 1:02.16.

Lindsey Booth (Franklin, Mass./Franklin) rounded out the day for the Purple and White with an impressive performance in the 800 Meter Run.  Her 2:22.94 finish earned her eighth place in the event.

The women will travel to the Southern Connecticut next week to compete in the Northeast-10 Championships.  The meet is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23rd.
