December 18, 1994 - Stonehill Men's Basketball defeated the UMass-Lowell River Hawks, 81-79, after a steal by Jamal Gomes followed by a desperation lay-up from Rajohn Odum with four seconds remaining.  Chris Butler scored 25 points to crack the 1,000 point barrier for his career.  Butler was the 23rd 1,000 point scorer in the College's history.

Durham, N.H. - Jen Gardynski (Everett, Mass.) keeps getting better and better in the steeplechase. She turned in a school record performance, posting a fourth place finish in the event, highlighting Stonehill's performance in the New England Track and Field Championships hosted by the University of New Hampshire over the weekend.

Gardynski's 11:14.47 outcome earned her All-New England status and provisionally qualified her for the NCAA Championships.

Overall, the Skyhawks finished in 26 th place with seven points, while team champion Boston College, registered 131 points.

The 4x800 squad of Hilary Curtis, Lindsey Booth, Amanda Carnevale and Amanda Santacroce set a new school record (9:30.23) in the event and collected All-New England honors with a seventh place showing.
