Skyhawks Keep It Rolling Against Suffolk

Easton, Mass. - The Stonehill College Women Tennis team
(15-4, 9-2 Northeast-10 Conference) claimed their sixth
non-Conference victory with a 6-3 win over the Suffolk University
Rams (14-0, 7-0 GNAC). The victory is the women's third in
the last four days. They have won nine out of their last
10.
Elise Clark (Spring Lake, N.J./Saint Rose) and
Lindsey Herchel (Hampden, Mass./Minnechaug)
extended their doubles winning streak with a victory at second
doubles. The duo has not been defeated since March
27th. Clark, a senior, also claimed a straight set victory
over Suffolk's Catrina Rose 6-3, 6-1 at fourth singles. The
win is her fourth consecutive. Clark stands 15-2 overall.
Daniella Granato (Concord, Mass./Concord-Carlisle)
continued her winning way with a 2-6, 6-2, 11-9 victory over
Suffolk's Kaitlynn Cates. The win moves Granato to a
team-best 17-2. She is 13-0 in the Northeast-10 Conference
with only one Conference opponent, Saint Michael's, remaining on
Sunday.
Allison Bleakney (Lewistown, Maine/Lewistown) and
Emily Broderick (Middlebury, Conn./Pomperaug) each
scored straight sets victories 6-0, 6-0 at fifth and sixth singles.
Bleakney, a senior, improved to 16-3, 11-2 at the team's
fifth spot, while Broderick, a freshman, boasts an impressive 6-1
overall record.
Broderick teamed with freshman Caitlin Ryan
(Medfield, Mass./Medfield) for a win at third singles. The
freshman duo are 11-7 overall.
The women will travel to Saint Michael's College for their season
finale. The match is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. in Burlington,
Vt.
