April 19, 2007 - Senior Andy DeVita was a winner in both singles and doubles action as second-seeded Stonehill presented Head Coach Peter Miller with his 200th career victory in a 5-0 dual-match triumph over seventh-seeded Pace in quarterfinal round play of the 2007 Northeast-10 Conference Men's Tennis Championships.

Easton, Mass. - Freshman Lindsey Herchel (Hampden, Mass./Minnechaug Regional) gutted out her seventh career win with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Assumption's junior Rachel Hansen.  The win improved the Stonehill College Women's Tennis team to 8-3 overall, 4-1 in the Northeast-10 Conference.  The women are in the mist of a month long hot streak, winning five of their last six duels dating back to March 6th.  

Herchel teamed with Elise Clark (Spring Lake, N.J./Saint Rose) to take second doubles, 9-7 over Julia Kilgore and Megan Wnuk.  Clark, a senior, improved to 8-1 in today's match with a come from behind win at fourth doubles (3-6, 6-3, 10-2).

Both seniors Daniella Granato (Concord, Mass./Concord-Carlisle) and Allison Bleankey (Lewiston, Maine/Lewiston) made quick work of their opponents at second and fifth singles, respectfully.  Granato was victorious 6-0, 6-1 on her way to a 9-2 personal record.  She is currently 5-0 in NE-10 play.  Bleankey also improved to 9-2 defeating Assumption's Grace Fox, 6-0, 6-1. 

Freshman Caitlin Ryan (Medfield, Mass./Medfield) claimed her fifth conference victory, as well, at sixth singles.  She beat senior Amanda Boyer in straight sets, 6-0, 6-1.
