May 6, 2000 - Fred C. Petti became the first softball head coach inducted into the Stonehill College Hall of Fame.  Petti compiled an overall record of 131-61-1 during his tenure. He also served as the Vice President for Administration.

MANCHESTER, N.H.-- The Stonehill women's tennis team closed out regular season play on Wednesday afternoon by dropping a 5-0 Northeast-10 Conference dual-match decision to Saint Anselm at the Carr Center.

Senior Lauren Koloski (Newbury, Mass.) and sophomore Laura Nason (Shelton, Conn.) each posted straight set singles victories in the triumph for the host Hawks (7-5, 7-5 Northeast-10) and combined for an 8-6 win at number one doubles. Junior Jessie Brennan (Cheshire, Conn.) and sophomore McAul Lindermuth (Pepperell, Mass.) also notched an 8-6 victory at number two doubles for Saint Anselm, which also received an 8-2 victory at the number three doubles spot from the tandem of senior Bonnie Collier (Pittsfield, Maine) and freshman Virginia Dalrymple (Surry, Maine).

The visiting Skyhawks fall to 11-6 overall and finish 8-4 in Northeast-10 play with the setback.

Stonehill will be seeded fourth in the 2007 Northeast-10 Championships and will host fifth-seeded Southern New Hampshire in a league quarterfinal round match on Thursday afternoon at the Ames Sports Complex beginning at 1:00 p.m.
