EASTON, Mass.-- The Stonehill women's tennis team advanced to the Northeast-10 Conference championship match for the second straight season on Saturday afternoon, as the top-ranked Skyhawks matched the school record for consecutive victories with their 15th straight triumph in notching a 5-0 league semi-final win over fifth-seeded Saint Michael's on the Stonehill Courts.

Stonehill, which extended its school single-season record for victories in improving to 17-1 on the season, will square off with second-seeded Bryant for the second straight year on Sunday morning at the Ames Sports Complex beginning at 11:00 a.m., as the Bulldogs posted a 5-1 win over third-seeded Bentley in Saturday's other semi-final round match.

Senior Anna Walsh (Dennis, Mass.) and sophomore Elise Clark (Spring Lake, N.J.) were winners in both singles and doubles play for Stonehill, as each posted straight-set singles triumphs. Senior Jennifer Arcabascio (Salem, N.H.) and sophomore Daniella Granato (Concord, Mass.) teamed up for an 8-1 win at number one doubles, while Walsh and senior Ashley Todd (Weymouth, Mass.) were 8-6 winners at number two doubles. Clark and sophomore Allison Bleakney (Lewiston, Maine) claimed the Skyhawks' other point of the day with an 8-6 triumph at the number three doubles spot.

The visiting Purple Knights close out their season at 11-9 overall.

Stonehill and Bryant met just 12 days ago in Smithfield, R.I. in a showdown for first place in the league standings, as the Skyhawks posted a 5-4 win to end the two-time defending regular season champion Bulldogs' 35-match Northeast-10 winning streak.
