EASTON, Mass.-- The Stonehill women's tennis team collected its fifth win in six outings on the young season Thursday afternoon by posting an 8-1 Northeast-10 Conference dual-match triumph over Assumption at the Ames Sports Complex.
Seniors Jennifer Arcabascio (Salem, N.H.), Ashley Todd (Weymouth, Mass.) and Anna Walsh (Dennis, Mass.), along with sophomore Daniella Granato (Concord, Mass.), were each victorious in both singles and doubles play for the host Skyhawks (5-1, 2-0 Northeast-10), while sophomores Elise Clark (Spring Lake, N.J.) and sophomore Allison Bleakney (Lewiston, Maine) were winners in singles action on the day for Stonehill.
Senior Katey Hayden (Turners Falls, Mass.) and junior Shannon Steele (Plainville, Mass.) claimed the lone point of the day for the visiting Greyhounds (0-2, 0-2 Northeast-10) with an 8-6 win at the number three doubles spot.
Stonehill hosts Pace in a Northeast-10 dual-match on Friday afternoon at the Ames Sports Complex beginning at 2:30 p.m., while Assumption hosts Bryant in a Northeast-10 dual-match on Wednesday afternoon in Worcester, Mass. beginning at 3:00 p.m.
