April 19, 2007 - Senior Andy DeVita was a winner in both singles and doubles action as second-seeded Stonehill presented Head Coach Peter Miller with his 200th career victory in a 5-0 dual-match triumph over seventh-seeded Pace in quarterfinal round play of the 2007 Northeast-10 Conference Men's Tennis Championships.



Sophomore Sarah Hickey made seven saves at Merrimack tonight.

Alnwick collects goal and assist to lift Warriors to victory

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (September 22, 2009) - Merrimack College scored two first half goals on its way to a 3-0 victory over Stonehill College in Northeast-10 Conference women's soccer action at Warrior Field tonight.

Junior Ashley Alnwick (Groton, Mass./Groton-Dunstable) led Merrimack with a goal and assist, while classmate Jackie DeGraan (Braintree, Mass./Braintree) dished two assists in the win. Senior Jackie Vickers (Norwell, Mass./Norwell) and sophomore Kara Hennigan (Pawtucket, R.I./Saint Raphael Academy) each added goals for the Warriors.

Senior Brittany Gustafson (East Hampton, Conn./East Hampton) and sophomore Kiley Horne (Scituate, Mass./Thayer Academy) split the goalkeeping duties and the shutout for Merrimack. Gustafson made one save in the first half, while Horne stopped four in the second. Sophomore Sarah Hickey (Lee, Mass./Lee) finished with seven saves in goal for Stonehill.

Alnwick put Merrimack in front just six minutes into the match with her fourth goal of the season, assisted by DeGraan. DeGraan also helped set up the Warriors second goal in the 31st minute by Hennigan, before Alnwick turned provider on the final tally of the night from Vickers with 4:56 left in regulation.

Stonehill (4-4-0, 2-4-0 NE-10) returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Southern Connecticut State University at noon. Merrimack (6-2-1, 3-2-0 NE-10) visits Adelphi University on Sunday at 1 p.m.
