Boyd Named To CoSIDA Academic All-District Third Team

Easton, Mass. - Forward Lauren Boyd (Sandwich, Mass.) was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District third team on Thursday. The senior captain led the women's team to eight victories and their highest conference tournament seeding since 1999.
Boyd had another stellar season, leading the team nearly every offensive category. Her 11 goals scored ranked fourth in the NE-10. This season Boyd led a young offense to their highest point total in school history. In 59 career starts, she netted 39 goals, including three straight 10+ goal seasons.
Boyd is one of four Skyhawks who received Academic All-Conference honors in mid-October. She also was named Northeast-10 Co-Player of the Week earlier this year for scoring three goals in two games.
Lauren will graduate in the spring of 2008 with a degree in criminology and sociology.
