Kelly Thompson, the veteran member of head coach Trish Brown's staff, returns for her third season.
Thompson, who came to the Skyhawks after two seasons as the head women's basketball coach at Russell Sage College, works with all aspects of the program, including recruiting and scouting. Prior to her time with the Gators, Thompson was an assistant at Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Maine for one season, while heading numerous basketball camps throughout New England.
A standout player in her own right at Springfield College, Thompson ranks fourth on the Pride's all-time three-pointers made list (90). She also rank's 10th on the school's free throws made list, having connected on 162 shots from the charity stripe in her 81 career games.
A 2002 graduate with a degree in Sports Management and a minor
in business, she served as team captain for two seasons as the
Pride advanced to the NCAA Division III Championship in 2001 and
2002.
