Rousseau, Bruno NE-10 Scholar-Athlete of the Year Candidates
EASTON, Mass. (June 5, 2011) – Seniors Emily Rousseau (Biddeford, Maine/Biddeford) and Angelo Bruno (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) have been named Stonehill College’s institutional candidates for the Northeast-10 Conference Female and Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards. The two award winners will be announced at the NE-10’s end of the year banquet on Tuesday, June 7, in Providence, R.I.

Rousseau Named NE-10 Woman of the Year Finalist
EASTON, Mass. (May 31, 2011) – Stonehill College senior women’s basketball standout Emily Rousseau (Biddeford, Maine/Biddeford) has been named one of three finalists for the 2011 Northeast-10 Conference Woman of the Year Award, to be selected by the Senior Woman Administrator Council (SWA), and announced at the Conference’s end of the year meetings in Providence in June 7. The winner will automatically be put forward as the Conference’s nominee for the NCAA Woman of the Year.

(February 26, 2010) – Two members of the Stonehill College women’s basketball team have earned postseason recognition from the Northeast-10 Conference as selected by the Conference’s 16 head coaches this week. Senior guard Emily Rousseau (Biddeford, Maine/Biddeford) has earned All-Northeast-10 honors for the third-straight year with her selection to the second team, while freshman point guard Mary Louise Dixon (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley) was named to the NE-10’s All-Rookie team.

Stonehill To Host WBCA Pink Zone Doubleheader

The women’s team will tip off against Northeast-10 Conference rival UMass Lowell at 1:30 p.m., followed by the men’s team at 3:30 p.m.

Stonehill Inducts Five into Athletic Hall of Fame
EASTON, Mass. (October 4, 2010) – Stonehill College kicked off its Alumni Weekend festivities by inducting five former student-athletes into its Athletic Hall of Fame in Alumni Hall on Friday night. Stonehill’s 22nd annual Hall of Fame class includes Celeste Chartier, Class of 1972, the founder of the women’s basketball program at the College, Brian Driscoll, Class of 1991, a three-way player for the football team, Mario Fraioli, Class of 2004, an All-America cross country runner and national qualifier for indoor track and field, Dan Maher, Class of 1968, a former member of the basketball program and active member of the Alumni Basketball Support Group, and Lauren Stone, Class of 2006, a two-time All-America goalkeeper for the lacrosse program.
