January 4, 1995 - Michelle Doonan had a game-high 32 points, eight rebounds, five steals and four assists in the Stonehill Women's Basketball 86-71 win over Merrimack.  The victory marked the College's 31st consecutive win over the Warriors.  Later that week, Stonehill defeated Springfield to move to 10-0.  At the time, this was the school's best start ever.



Rousseau Named Northeast-10 Player of the Week

 

Emily Rousseau averaged 24.5 points and 4.5 assists in two games to earn her first-ever Northeast-10 Player of the Week Award.

South Easton, Mass. - Sophomore Emily Rousseau (Biddeford, Maine) has been named Northeast-10 player of the week, it was announced by the Conference office on Monday afternoon.

Rousseau led the Skyhawks to a pair of wins last week averaging 24.5 points, 4.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals, while shooting 71 percent from the field.

In a 75-54 road win over Pace, she scored 22 points and dished out four assists, going 7-for-10 from the field.

Then in an 87-55 victory at Merrimack, the 5-foot-9 sophomore pumped in a career-high 27 points (8-for-11 field goals) and handed out five assists.

For the week, the Northeast-10's leader in three-point percentage (.529) was 8-for-10 from behind the arc and at one point made five straight triples spanning the two games.

She also went 11-of-12 from the foul line, upping her free throw percentage to 88 percent.

In 63 minutes of game action during the week, she had nine assists and just three turnovers.

So far this season, she has started all 19 games and is the team's leading scorer at 15.7 points per game while averaging 4.5 assists and 3.1 rebounds.

The No. 15 Skyhawks (16-3 overall, 11-3 Northeast-10) return to action on Wednesday when they host Bentley beginning at 5:30 p.m.
