September 17, 1994 - The Stonehill Football team defeated Nichols College behind the running of senior Mike McLucas, who set an ECFC and Stonehill College single game record with 250 yards on 32 attempts.  McLucas reached the end zone three times to punctuate the 36-28 victory.


Wirth Earns All-Northeast-10 Honors

Mesa, Ariz., native named to All-Conference second team

EASTON, Mass. (November 19, 2009) - Stonehill College junior setter Andrea Wirth (Mesa, Ariz./St. Mary's) has earned All-Northeast-10 Conference honors for the first time, as selected by the Conference's 16 head coaches.

Wirth, who earned a spot on the All-NE-10 second team, finished the season ranked third among NE-10 leaders with 9.84 assists per set, while also averaging 2.45 digs and 0.26 service aces per set. She earned Northeast-10 Setter of the Week honors twice this season and totaled 11 double-doubles.

Wirth posted 30-plus assists in 22 matches, 40-plus on 12 occasions, 50-plus three times and dished out a career-best 67 assists in a five-set match with Southern Connecticut State University on October 29, while also posting a season-best 18 digs. She totaled 58 assists and 15 digs in a five-set win at Merrimack College and picked up 30 assists, 13 digs and four aces in a three-set sweep of Southern New Hampshire.

Wirth has played 315 sets over 91 career matches and has compiled 2,949 assists (9.36/set), 760 digs (2.41/set) and 91 service aces (0.29/set) over her three-year career. She has earned NE-10 Setter of the Week honors five times over her career and was named to the All-NE-10 Tournament team as a sophomore.

Stonehill (15-11, 9-6 NE-10) finished in a five-way tie for fifth place in the Northeast-10 standings, but were eliminated from postseason play after finishing at the bottom of the group based on the Conference's tiebreaker. The Skyhawks will return 11 letterwinners and all seven starters next year.
