February 21, 1995 - After two seasons of Co-Championships, the women's basketball team clinched the Northeast-10 Regular Season crown for themselves with a 79-53 win over Assumption College.  The triumph was the women's first individual title since 1987.  Stonehill finished the regular season ranked second in the nation.

New Haven, Conn. – The Skyhawks played a strong third set but were unable to capitalize on New Haven errors on their way 3-0 loss to the Chargers. The loss drops them to 9-6 on the season.

The first set saw Stonehill fall behind early and they were unable to recover, losing the first set 25-11. The second set saw improvement, as the Skyhawks lost 25-16.

In the final set Stonehill pushed the Chargers to the limit, tying the set up at 23 before dropping the last two points on attack errors to fall 25-23.

Senior Katherine Masson (Acushnet, Mass.) had team leading eight kills with a .350 attack percentage, while Libero Therese Mance (Milwaukee, Wis.) had a match high 12 digs. Sophomore Andrea Wirth (Mesa, Ariz.) added 18 assists and ten digs.

Rhe-Ann Niles led New Haven with 11 kills with a .556 attack percentage for the 9-3 Chargers.

The Skyhawks next take to action when they play host to Assumption on Saturday, September 27, at 2 pm.
