May 1, 1988 - The 10-2 Men's Tennis team finished in a first place tie with Springfield College among Division II schools at the New England Intercollegiate Championship held at the University of Conn.  Naren Dhamodharan and Doug Mouch both had upset victories and advanced to the quarterfinals.  Dhamodharan and Dave Schreiner competed as double partners.  They lost in the quarterfinals to the eventual champions.


Laura Noonan and the Skyhawks are off to a 3-0 start this season.

Kutztown, Pa. - Stonehill continued its impressive start to the 2008 season with a pair of wins at the Kutztown Classic on Saturday.

The Skyhawks opened the day with a convincing 3-0 win over Mercy. In that contest, Stonehill was paced by nine kills and eight digs from freshman Michelle Thornhill (Canyon Lake, Calif.) and 26 assists from sophomore setter Andrea Wirth (Mesa, Ariz.).

Stonehill took game one 25-14 then followed up with 25-19 and 25-17 games to close out the Mavericks.

Senior Katherine Masson (Acushnet, Mass.) added eight kills for the Skyhawks, which also got five kills from sophomore Laura Noonan (Hampstead, N.H.) and four kills and seven digs from freshman Laura Huselton (Penfield, N.Y.).

In the nightcap, Stonehill defeated host Kutztown, 3-1 by scores of 19-25, 25-23, 25-20 and 25-15.

Now 3-0 on the young season, the Skyhawks return to action on Thursday when they host Colby-Sawyer in their home opener.
