Eric Snyder enters his second season as head volleyball coach at Stonehill in the fall of 2008.

A former assistant at the University of South Alabama, Snyder guided the Skyhawks to a 10-20 overall record in his first year, doubling the program's win total from the previous season. The 10 victories were the most in the program in a three-year period.

After picking up his first coaching victory in a win over Molloy, Snyder's team began to flourish, finishing the season winning four of their last six games, including a season-best three-game winning streak in late October.

A native of Wilbraham, Mass., Snyder returned to New England after serving on the staff for the Division I Jaguars during the 2006 campaign.

Snyder gained additional experience as a graduate assistant volleyball coach at Tiffin (Ohio) University, where he was involved in all aspects of the Dragons' program during a two-year stint in 2004 and 2005.

A 2004 graduate of Southern New Hampshire University, Snyder served as an assistant volleyball coach during his undergraduate tenure, helping lead the Penmen to its highest win total in 17 years (16 victories) and a berth in the Northeast-10 Conference championships during his senior season in 2003.

Snyder, who has been a camp counselor and clinician throughout the country, has also been involved in club volleyball organizations in both Ohio and New Hampshire.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management & Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire in 2004 and a Masters of Business Administration from Tiffin in 2006.
