February 18, 2008 - The Skyhawks won their third straight game behind a career milestone from junior captain Brendan O'Brien.  O'Brien's assist in the second period moved him into first place on Stonehill College's all-time list.  Brendan's record-breaking 82nd career assist came on the game-winning goal in their 4-1 win over Plymouth State.

BROOKVILLE, N.Y.-- The Stonehill volleyball team opened its 2006 campaign on Friday evening by dropping a 3-0 non-league decision to Dowling by game scores of 30-13, 30-12 and 30-14 in first round play of the C.W. Post Invitational held at the Pratt Center.

Sophomore Katherine Masson (Acushnet, Mass.) notched six kills in the setback for the Skyhawks, who also received five kills from junior Rebekah Saunders (Gilford, N.H.) as well as four kills and five service aces from sophomore Heidi Woerner (North Kingstown, R.I.). Freshman Kristen Hordern (Swansea, Mass.) added 14 set assists in her collegiate debut as well for Stonehill.

The Skyhawks square off with New York Tech and host C.W. Post in a pair of non-league matches at the C.W. Post Invitational on Saturday afternoon beginning at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m., respectively.
