Walnut, Calif. - Freshman Kevin Gill (Brockton, Mass.) wrapped up a sensational inaugural season, turning in a tenth place finish in the 1500 meters at the 2008 NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships late Saturday night.

Gill just missed out on earning All-America honors with his time of 3:52.73, less than a second off of the pace. The top eight runners earn the honor.

Adams State junior Aaron Braun captured the individual title with a time of 3:48.81, while his teammate, freshman Ryan McNiff, finished seventh at 3:51.47.

Gill's first season of collegiate competition saw him earn three Northeast-10 Freshman of the Year awards and All-America honors twice along the way.
