March 31, 1990 - Freshman Robin Guilfoy's :12.9 first-place finish in the 100-meter dash qualified her for the New England Track Championship.  Guilfoy, who nosed out teammate Kellie Walsh (:13.2) to win at the Bridgewater State College Invitational, set a school record with her performance.  Guilfoy was the College's first New England representative in four years.


Gill Advances to National Finals In 1500

Walnut, Calif. - Running in a field of the nation's elite, Kevin Gill (Brockton, Mass.) advanced to the national finals in the 1500 meters at the 2008 NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships hosted by Mt. San Antonio College late Thursday evening.

Gill, who finished seventh in the second heat preliminaries with a time of 3:53.31, will take his shot at a national championship and All-America honors on Saturday night at 9 p.m. EST.

He is the one of only two freshmen in the field, joining Adams State's Ryan McNiff, who turned in a time of 3:53.28.

Mansfield (Pa.) senior Chris Cummings finished first in the second heat with the event's fastest time of 3:51.47.
