"It's tough to see our championship run end, but I give UMass Lowell credit, they ran a great race," Stonehill Head Coach Karen Boen said following the championship. "Our guys know what it takes to compete at a high level, and I know we'll be ready to go for the regionals in two weeks."

Stonehill will seek to defend its NCAA Northeast Regional crown on Sunday, November 5th when the Skyhawks participate in the 2006 NCAA Division II Northeast Regional Championships at Franklin Park in Boston beginning at 1:30 p.m.
