February 21, 1995 - After two seasons of Co-Championships, the women's basketball team clinched the Northeast-10 Regular Season crown for themselves with a 79-53 win over Assumption College.  The triumph was the women's first individual title since 1987.  Stonehill finished the regular season ranked second in the nation.

The No. 4 seeded Stonehill College Men’s Tennis team (18-7, 9-1 Northeast-10 Conference) dropped their opening round match up with No. 5 seeded Queens College (12-6, 4-1 East Coast Conference) on Thursday, 5-3. The Skyhawks, who earned the program’s highest NCAA Tournament seed, finish with 18 wins, a new record in the College’s 56-year history.

Three of Stonehill’s NCAA Tournament bound men’s tennis players were named to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Academic Team on Tuesday. Sophomore Michael Mashkevich (Framingham, Mass./Framingham), junior Jason Allegretti (Lincoln, R.I./Lincoln) and senior captain Mike Allen (Norwell, Mass./Norwell) were honored for their off-the-field accomplishments. They are three key contributors to Stonehill’s 18 win season, a new best in the program's 56-year history.
Skyhawks to Host NCAA First and Second Rounds

Stonehill College (18-6, 9-1 Northeast-10 Conference) has been selected to host the first and second rounds of the upcoming NCAA Division II Men’s Tennis Championship it was announced on Monday evening by the Division II Selection Committee. The Skyhawks will host Concordia (N.Y.), Queens (N.Y.) and Philadelphia in the four team bracket with play beginning on Thursday, May 8 and concluding on Friday May 9. Stonehill, who set a school-record with 18 wins this season, and received their highest seed ever – No. 4, will face Queens (11-6) on Thursday at 2 p.m. The other matchup of Concordia (N.Y.) and Philadelphia will take place at 11 a.m. The two winners will advance to the second round and meet at 11 a.m. on Friday.
