May 4, 2006 - Senior Kalyn Healey, who helped Stonehill Equestrian capture the IHSA Collegiate Cup National Championship as a freshman in 2003, finished third in the individual open fences at the 2006 IHSA National Championship.  Healey's finish at the National Championships matched the highest for Stonehill individual.

Skyhawks Earn A Pair of Berths in NCAA Tournament

Easton, Mass. - The Stonehill men's and women's tennis teams have each earned berth in the NCAA Championships following a year which saw both teams establish new marks for victories in a season and claim the Northeast-10 Regular Season and Tournament titles. 

The Stonehill men sit at a school record 21-3 having won their first ever NE-10 Tournament title on Sunday.  The win gave the Skyhawks an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships where they will be a third seed in the East Regional set to begin on May 7.  The men will square off against sixth seeded Philadelphia University at 3:00 p.m. and should they win, face the winner of Queens (N.Y.) vs. Bentley at the host school Queens (N.Y.).  For more information regarding the men's tournament field, click here:

The Stonehill women have won a school record 19 games to go along with just three losses on the season. The Skyhawks finished off their perfect NE-10 record with the first Northeast-10 Regular Season and Tournament titles since 1992.  Stonehill's victory in the NE-10 Championship pushed them to a  two seed in the upcoming NCAA Championships.  They will play host to a four team regional which begins on May 7 and includes first round opponent and seven seed Merrimack, as well as NE-10 foe St. Michael's and Queens (N.Y.).
