Men's Tennis team (9-3, 4-0 Northeast-10) continued their hot
streak with 5-3 win over Dowling at the Bloomsburg Duels.
Saturday's win marked the men's fifth straight victory dating back
to March 6 th.
The Skyhawks were helped by four wins at singles competition, including freshman Tim Fayed's (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) 6-2, 7-6, 8-6 second singles win over Dowling's Petr Grishchenko. Fayed has not lost in his last five matches. The freshman is tied for a team best 9-2 mark overall, 7-2 in the team's second spot.
Mike Leone (Cataumet, Mass./Bourne) won both his singles and doubles match up. Leone, a sophomore, improved to 3-0 with a win at fifth singles over Adam Wolfthal. Leone later teamed with senior John McGaffigan (Dedham, Mass./Dedham) to take third doubles, 8-0. Leone is a perfect 5-0 this season in duel competition.
