Merrimack scored one minute into the contest and Robbie Sabadoz added a hat trick as the Skyhawks weren’t able to overcome a sluggish start in the wind and rain, losing their final contest of the year 6-1 to the Warriors on Tuesday at Skyhawk Field. Merrimack gained a 3-0 lead in the first 25 minutes but a Martin Earley (Winterport, Maine) rocket closed the Skyhawks within two before the half. However the Warriors got three second half goals, two from Sabadoz to lift them to the 6-1 win. Stonehill keeper Brandon McFarlane (Norwich, Conn.) had 11 saves in net for the Skyhawks who end their season 4-10-3 and 1-9-2 in the NE-10.
