February 18, 2006 - Dana Burbank was one of three Skyhawks to finish second in their respective events in the Northeast-10 Conference Championships.  In the process, Burbank tied a school record by high jumping 6'6".  Burbank's mark tied Matt Carroll's 2002 effort at the conference championships.

Easton, Mass. -  Assumption's Paul Murphy scored twice and Jeffrey Swan added another, all in the first half, as the Greyhounds took a 3-0 decision over Stonehill on Skyhawk Field Saturday afternoon.

For the second straight year, Murphy was instrumental in defeating the Skyhawks.  Much like in 2006, Murphy attacked early, scoring two goals in the opening 15 minutes.  Murphy's first score was assisted by freshman Brendan McGee, while his second tally came off a perfect pass from freshman Stephen Blaisdell.

Another Assumption newcomer, Swan, would tack on the final score as the Greyhounds took a 3-0 lead into half time.

Stonehill, who has been shutout in four of their last five games, fall to 2-6-1 overall and 0-5 in the Northeast-10.

Dan Kerl (Massapequa, N.Y.) played the first 45 minutes in goal, while Brain Guerrini (Glastonbury, Conn.) played the final 45.

They return to action on Saturday, when they travel to Franklin Pierce at 7:00pm.
