Stonehill jumped out to an early 1-0 lead at 6:29 on the power play as freshman forward Kevin Aufiero (Canton, Mass.) put home his own rebound past Wentworth netminder Mike Jarboe (Grosse Point Park, Mich.) for his team-leading fourth goal of the season. Junior Dana Borges (Taunton, Mass./Coyle & Cassidy) set up the tally with a nice centering feed in the slot, fourth assist of the season after Christopher Gorovitz (Framingham, Mass./Tilton School) carried the puck into the attacking zone.

Junior defenseman Reed Rushing (Seattle, Wash.) tied up the contest at 1-1 at the 9:31 mark sniping a shot into the lower left corner of the net from the top of the right faceoff circle behind Skyhawks goaltender Chris Tasiopoulos (Norwell, Mass./Thayer Academy) for his second marker of the year. Senior forward Skylur Jameson (Long Beach, Calif.) and junior forward Anthony Principato (Holmdel, N.J.) were credited with assists.

Principato pushed Wentworth out in front, 3-1, just one minute and 53 seconds into the third period sneaking a shot past Tasiopoulos into the lower left corner of the net for his first goal of the season on feeds from freshman forward Kevin Crowe (Galloway, N.J.) and Jameson.

Domsodi netted the eventual game-winner at 8:25 finishing on a beautiful centering feed in the slot from teammate Casey Shade (Anchorage, Alaska) for his fifth of the season.

Stonehill cut the deficit in half at the 11:00 mark as Gorovitz took senior forward Patrick Greene's Weymouth, Mass./Catholic Memorial) pass off the sideboards and skated in one-on-one against Jarboe beating the goaltender with a forehand-to-backhand deke for his fourth marker. Sophomore forward Bill Carey (Weymouth, Mass.) also earned an assist on the shorthanded tally.

Borges put the Skyhawks within one at 16:23 stuffing home a rebound off of Tyler Gordon's (Franklin, Mass./Xaverian Brothers Academy) initial shot for his second of the season.

Wentworth shutdown Stonehill's comeback bid at 18:24 on the power play as sophomore forward Cameron Gibson (Valencia, Calif.) potted Yarber's rebound past Skyhawks backup goaltender Dominic Sawaia (Cranston, R.I./Canterbury School) directly in front of the net.
