Schedule Set For McLaughlin At College Basketball Invitational

Stonehill College Head Men's Basketball Coach David McLaughlin will serve as the coach of Team Galaxy at the Collegiate Basketball Invitational it was announced recently. The event will take place in Wadsworth, Ohio, and will consist of eight teams of eight players (one team with nine players) in an eight-team tournament. Each team will play a total of three games, culminating with the championship game. The event will conclude with an all-star game in front of a live, ESPNU audience as 20 players will be selected to play in the game.

NCAA Selection Shows Sunday Night

The 2008 NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships selection brackets will be announced exclusively Sunday, March 9 it has been announced. The men’s and women’s brackets will be revealed beginning at 10:30 p.m. Eastern time. Audio and video streaming of both shows can be accessed by logging on to www.cstv.com/ncaa/divii/ or www.ncaa.com. Both 64-team brackets will be posted online at http://www.ncaasports.com/ immediately following the selection show.

Skyhawks Face No. 1 Bentley For Third Time

With the second Northeast-10 Men’s Basketball Tournament championship title game in three seasons in their sights, the fifth seeded Skyhawks venture to the Dana Center to tangle with the ultimate road block – undefeated and top-ranked Bentley. The Falcons are on an incredible stretch, having won 32 straight games at home and 48 in row against Northeast-10 competition. Stonehill, meanwhile, has recorded two wins in a row for the first time since mid-January. The Skyhawks do have history on their side – the only time these two teams have ever met in the Conference tournament, Stonehill took a 116-111 win in Waltham back in 1989.
