Colchester, Vt. - Saint Michael's senior Andrea Slaven has been a thorn in the side of the Stonehill program for some time now. The 2007 Northeast-10 Player of the Year scored the game's lone goal midway through the second half to lift the Purple Knights to a 1-0 win over the visiting Skyhawks on Saturday afternoon, marking the second consecutive contest between the two teams that she has scored the decisive goal. Last year in the Northeast-10 Quarterfinals, Slaven scored the game-winning goal in the second overtime to end Stonehill's season.

With the win St. Michael's improves to 3-0 overall and a perfect 3-0 in the Northeast-10, while the Skyhawks fall to 0-3 and 0-2 in Conference play.

Slaven teamed up with Molly DiMasi at the 58:11 mark for her third goal of the season.

The match proved to be a defensive one with the two teams only combining for eight shots.

Sophomore goalkeeper Courtney Osier (South Dennis, Mass.) had two saves for Stonehill, while St. Michael's netminder, Jordan Smalling turned away four shots of her own.

The three match slide for the Skyhawks is their first since a three match stretch in the first month of the 2003 season.

Stonehill will look for their first win of the season on Wednesday when they travel to Southern Connecticut for a meeting with the Owls at 7 p.m.
