October 15, 1994 - Forward Jon Bruno claimed a school and Northeast-10 Conference Men's Soccer record by scoring seven goals in Stonehill's 9-0 win over Assumption College.  Bruno's performance also earned the College's record for most points scored in a single game (14). His 59 goals scored and 134 total points were career records.

Jackie Ladino registered her first career hat trick in the Skyhawks' 6-1 win over Franklin Pierce last Saturday.

 

Ladino Named Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Easton, Mass. - Stonehill junior forward Jackie Ladino (North Dartmouth, Mass.) has been named Northeast-10 Player of the Week it was announced by the Conference office on Monday.

Ladino powered the Skyhawks to a 3-0 week on the strength of six goals and an assist, boosting her season scoring total to 29 points (10 goals, nine assists), good for second on the team.

In the 5-0 win over American International she had two goals, including the gamewinner. Then in the 6-2 win over Merrimack she registered a goal and an assist. She saved the best for last, however, netting her first career hat trick with three second half goals in the 6-1 win at Franklin Pierce.

Already in second place on the school's all-time assist list (29), Ladino has scored a career-high 10 goals in 17 games this season.

Classmate Claire Hourihan (East Amherst, N.Y.), who set the school record for goals in a season (18) and points in a season (43), was named to the Conference's weekly honor roll. She had a monster week as well, collecting four goals and an assist.

Ladino, Hourihan and the rest of the Skyhawks return to action on Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. matchup at Assumption.
