Bonnett Named ESPN First-Team Academic All-District
Easton, Mass. - Stonehill senior defensive lineman Kevin Bonnett (Manchester, N.H.) has been named to the ESPN Academic All-District First-Team it was announced recently by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
The team consists of Division II and Division III players from schools in New England and New York who have at least a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average, have reached their sophomore years, and have appeared in 50 percent of their team's contests. Bonnett moves on to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration
An accounting major with a 3.73 grade point average, he appeared in 30 straight contests, and finished his senior season with 55 tackles, eight for loss and 4.5 sacks. He also added a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
A second-team all-district selection a season ago, Bonnett, a two-time Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference selection, is one of only two Northeast-10 honorees, joining Bentley's Jared Kwadler.
