Skyhawks, Yellow Jackets Renew Rivalry On Saturday

Jeff Payne, who has rushed for 396 yards and three touchdowns this season, ran for a career-high 162 yards against American International last season.

Inside The Series
The Yellow Jackets lead the all-time series, 11-0, including last year's 35-10 win at W.B. Mason Stadium. In that contest, the visitors scored 35 unanswered points to secure the win.

Opposite Directions
After winning their first contest, Stonehill has lost four games in a row, while American International has won 11 straight as well as 10 straight Northeast-10 games.

Extra Session Information
The Skyhawks' 35-34 overtime loss was their first overtime game since a 20-14 loss to Pace back in September of 2002.

Passing Prowess
Senior signal caller Cruz Parsons (Signal Hill, Calif.) threw for a career-high 312 yards in the loss at Iona. The game marked the first time a Stonehill quarterback had thrown for more than 300 yards since John Darak threw for 314 in a loss at Bentley in 1997.

Oh, So Close
In their two matchups with Division I-AA teams, Stonehill has equaled their opponents' output, 48-48. In their three losses to Northeast-10 foes, they have been outscored 73-52. Two of those losses have come by a combined seven points.

Wright Turn
Junior Cory Wright (Manchester, N.H.) has five catches for 126 yards so far this season. He leads the team with a 25.2 yard average and caught a 68-yard pass in the loss at Iona.

Century Club
David Pringle
(West Haven, Conn.) had his second straight 100 yard receiving day in the loss to Iona, hauling in a career-high 10 passes for 101 yards. So far this season in three games, he has 19 catches for 253 yards, closing in on the numbers he produced last year (22 catches, 427 yards, 4 touchdowns).

Vachon's Versatility
Sophomore Eddie Vachon (Newton, Mass.) has five career games with 100 or more all-pupose yards, including three this season. In the loss at Iona, he had 42 yards rushing, 43 yards receiving, 46 yards on kickoff returns and returned his first career punt 14 yards.

Safety Valve
Senior tight end Jon Kaloyanides (Cranston, R.I.) had a career day in the loss at Iona. He caught a career-high five passes for 60 yards and his first career touchdown.

Payne's Pace
Jeff Payne (West Haven, Conn.) carried the ball 144 times in his breakout season a year ago. Halfway through 2008, he already has 97 carries and 396 yards.

Parent-al Discretion
Yellow Jacket sophomore Rob Parent ranks fifth in the country in passing efficiency at 188.0. He has thrown for 1,187 yards and 17 touchdowns, more than double the amount of touchdowns than the quarterback with the second most touchdowns in the Conference has thrown.

Deep End
Parent's primary target has been Travis Poole, who leads the Northeast-10 in yards per catch (20.2) and touchdown catches (9) and is the only receiver who averages more than 100 yards per game (129.4).

Gettin' The Drop
George Whetstone
(Norwood, Mass.) has spent tons of time in the opposing team's backfield. He leads the Northeast-10 in tackles for loss (10.0) and sacks (6.0).

History Made
With his two touchdown passes in the loss at Iona, Cruz Parsons became just the third quarterback in school history to throw for more than 30 touchdowns in a career.

Just Kickin It
Junior Brendan Gorey (West Islip, N.Y.) had his first multiple field goal game in the loss at Iona. He connected on kicks from 24 yards and a career-long 39.
