May 26, 2003 - Sophomore Colby Confer was named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week after she net five goals during the Northeast-10 Championships, including a career-high four markers in the Championship round victory over Bryant.  Stonehill claimed their fourth straight Conference Championship with the win.


Skyhawks Announce 2008 Schedule

Easton, Mass. - Year two of the Robert Talley era will begin under the lights at home with a Friday night tilt against Wagner on September 5th it has been announced by the Stonehill Department of Athletics. 

The 10-game schedule features three Friday night contests, including a September 19th meeting with Southern Connecticut. The following week, the Skyhawks play on Friday night as well, this time on the road at Bentley.

Sandwiched around those contests in Saturday, September 13th showdown at Pace. The Purple and White step out of Northeast-10 play to travel to Iona for a meeting with the Gaels on Saturday, October 4th.

Stonehill will return to Northeast-10 action for a road contest at American International (10/11) and a home contest against Assumption on October 18th during Alumni Weekend.

Another home contest, this one on October 25th against Merrimack, wraps up play in October, and November opens with a road trip to St. Anselm on the 1st.

The final regular season contest is a home tilt against Bentley, which will be played as a non-league contest.

The last time the Falcons and Skyhawks faced each other twice in a season was 1995, when Stonehill defeated Bentley in the first game 39-36 but fell a week later in the ECAC IFC Division II Bowl, 46-3. Since the Stonehill win, the Falcons have won 13 straight over the Skyhawks including last season's 24-17 win in Easton.

After being picked ninth in the preseason coaches' poll, Stonehill finished Talley's first season at 5-5, and in sole possession of fifth place in the Northeast-10 standings.

In 2008, Stonehill returns several key players, including Northeast-10 All-Conference honoree Jared Zanello (Walpole, Mass.), quarterback Cruz Parsons (Signal Hill, Calif.) and running back Jeffery Payne (West Haven, Conn.).
