Bonnett, Donahue, Kaloyanides, Pires, Stone And Warmington Named To 2006 Northeast-10 Football Academic All-Conference Squad

Stonehill College leads the way with six individuals named to the 2006 Northeast-10 Conference Football Academic All-Conference squad as voted by the league's 15 sports information directors.
Seniors Tony Pires (Taunton, Mass./Taunton) and Paul Stone (Somerville, Mass./Somerville), juniors Sean Donahue (Plymouth, N.H./Plymouth) and Andrew Warmington (Centerville, Mass./Barnstable) and sophomores Kevin Bonnett (Manchester, N.H./Manchester Memorial) and Jon Kaloyanides (Cranston, R.I./Bishop Hendricken) were honored for their work in the classroom for Head Coach Chris Woods's Skyhawks, as 14 individuals comprising the conference's 10 football member institutions were named to this year's squad.
Pires, who serves as Stonehill's co-captain this fall and was a second-team all-Northeast-10 selection on the field in 2005, has posted a 3.23 cumulative grade point average as a Finance major at Stonehil. He leads the Skyhawks in sacks for the third time in his career with 4.5 to date while ranking second on the team in tackles for losses with 10.5. He has amassed 35 total tackles (16 solo) to date after ranking among the team leaders in that category in each of the last two seasons.
Stone, who has a 3.37 GPA as a Finance major as well, has emerged as Stonehill's top receiver to date with 26 receptions for 198 yards, including a career-high eight catches for 80 yards in a 13-7 setback at Bentley last Saturday afternoon, while Donahue, who holds a 3.38 grade point average as a double major in Elementary Education and Mathematics, ranks among the league punting leaders with a 38.4 yard average, having placed 15 punts inside the 15-yard line with a career-best 63 yard effort earlier in the year. Donahue has also tied his career-high with three field goal conversions to date, including a career-long 41-yard boot in Stonehill's 24-9 win at Saint Anselm on October 7th.
Warmington, who has a 3.70 grade point average as a Criminology major, has been a three-year letterwinner on the offensive line for the Skyhawks, while Bonnett, who has posted a 3.55 GPA as a Business major, has recorded 24 total tackles (eight solo) to go with four tackles for losses and one sack to date. Kaloyanides, who has posted a 3.75 GPA in two-plus semesters, has thrown for 957 yards and six touchdowns to date from his quarterback spot, including a career-high three scores against nationally-ranked C.W. Post in September, while adding three rushing touchdowns in seven contests.
