Tarah Watson enters her first season as the Head Coach of the Stonehill Equestrian program. An experienced rider in her own right, Watson brings a unique understanding of the sport, previously holding positions at every level within the equestrian community, having worked as an instructor, trainer, and manager.
Prior to arriving in Easton, Watson had a four-year stint at her alma mater, St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y.
As a collegian, Watson won the Intermediate Regional & Zone Championship and earned Most Valuable Rider honors on her team for the Open Division in 2003, when she reached a national ranking in 2003.
Watson also competed in five different non-collegiate categories.
Before beginning her college career she spent a summer in Kremling, Colo. at the Latigo Ranch.
For four consecutive summers she worked as a Riding Instructor at the Stoneleigh Burnham School in Greenfield, Mass., and in the summer of 2004, Watson held managerial and training positions at the Huntington and Mosses Farms in Stratford, Vt.
Watson, who earned a B.S. in Psychology at St. Lawrence, also received her Masters in Education with a School Counseling certificate.
A resident of Brighton, Mass., she is currently a Staff
Therapist at the South Bay Mental Health Center in Weymouth, Mass.
