May 1, 1988 - The 10-2 Men's Tennis team finished in a first place tie with Springfield College among Division II schools at the New England Intercollegiate Championship held at the University of Conn.  Naren Dhamodharan and Doug Mouch both had upset victories and advanced to the quarterfinals.  Dhamodharan and Dave Schreiner competed as double partners.  They lost in the quarterfinals to the eventual champions.

STOUGHTON, Mass.-- The Stonehill equestrian team placed sixth of 12 teams competing Saturday afternoon at the Stonehill Fall Intercollegiate Horse Show at Dry Water Farm, as UMass Dartmouth captured high point champion honors while Wheaton finished as the reserve champion.

Seniors Kalyn Healey (Plympton, Mass.) and Shannon Tibbits (West Kingston, R.I.) finished first in the open fences and intermediate flat, respectively, for the Skyhawks, who also received a first place performance from junior Sara Zelazny (San Diego, Calif.) in the walk trot canter. Sophomore Megan Buono (Bayonne, N.J.) added a second place finish in the novice fences and a third place spot in the novice flat on the day as well for the hosts.

Stonehill will be idle until Saturday, October 29th when the Skyhawks compete in the Endicott Intercollegiate Horse Show beginning at 9:00 a.m.
